Akshit Achara completed an integrated MSc in Mathematics from BITS Pilani, India in 2020. After graduation, Akshit joined GE as an Edison Engineer where he developed deep learning methods to solve vision and language tasks applied on longitudinal patient journeys. During his time at GE, he has also conducted research on data-efficient and low-resource deep learning approaches. He is currently a PhD student under the supervision of Prof Andrew King, Prof Alexander Hammers and Dr Esther Puyol Antón. His research is focused on algorithmic fairness in brain MR Imaging.
